Version Numbers Don't Measure Progress

I've shipped versions that changed everything.

I've also shipped versions that fixed a single typo.

The number got bigger both times.

Version numbers are useful.
They help us organize history.
But they don't tell the story.

Sometimes the most important release is the one where users never notice anything changed.

The software simply feels...
better.
